

Rowan King, Principal Lawyer at RK Law, is a seasoned practitioner with an unwavering dedication to justice, particularly in Criminal Defence, Domestic Violence, and Family Law Matters. Since April 2017, Rowan has been leading RK Law, where his vision is centred on providing hope and robust representation to his clients. His extensive courtroom experience is complemented by his previous roles, including Supervising Solicitor at the Queensland Indigenous Family Violence Legal Service. There, Rowan led a multidisciplinary team, delivering legal services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victims of domestic and family violence, demonstrating his commitment to community and cultural sensitivity. His earlier career includes serving as a Police Prosecutor with the Queensland Police Service and practising as a lawyer with Bottoms English Lawyers and the Queensland Indigenous Family Violence Legal Service. Rowan's legal journey began with a Law Clerk position at Legal Aid Queensland, which laid the foundation for his comprehensive legal expertise. Academically, Rowan holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Southern Queensland. He further advanced his qualifications with a Master of Laws and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The College of Law Australia. He completed a Legal Practice Management Course in 2016. Beyond his professional pursuits, Rowan cherishes his role as a father, drawing inspiration from his daughter to maintain a work-life balance.
