Richard Rowick is a partner and solicitor with a distinguished career focusing on commercial and property law, including litigation. He is also adept in advising on all matters related to indirect taxes such as duty, CGT, and GST, and has a keen interest in complex trust disputes. His academic journey began at the University of Western Australia, where he earned a Bachelor of Jurisprudence and LLB. He further specialised by completing a Masters degree in Tax Studies. Richard's diverse background includes notable experience in the building industry, surveying, and a meaningful tenure as a constable with the West Australian Police Force. His legal journey commenced with his role as an associate to former Chief Justice Sir Francis Burt in 1986, following which he was admitted to practice in 1987 after completing articles with Mallesons Stephen Jaques. In 1990, Richard relocated to Busselton, Western Australia, where he was affiliated with Slee Anderson Pidgeon. After a year in Canada, he joined Bennett & Co in 1992, advancing to partner before leaving in 2006. Richard co-founded Dean & Rowick with Gary Dean and later practiced as a sole practitioner until 2019.
