

Richard holds a Bachelor of Justice (Investigation and Policing) and a Bachelor of Law from Queensland University of Technology, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. He is recognised as a Legal Practitioner by the Supreme Court and High Court of Australia. He has worked in Queensland and Western Australia Jurisdictions during his legal career since 2015 with special interest in Family Law because of his decade long career in Child Protection sectors (Department of Communities – Child Protection and Foster Carers) in Queensland. Richard is not a stranger to issues facing clients in family law or criminal or traffic or Immigration matters and can confidently challenge unrealistic expectations to guide you to achieve a better outcome. He has extensive experience of appearing in Magistrate Courts, Family Court of Western Australia, Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. Since 2015, Richard has contributed significantly to the legal profession in both Queensland and Western Australia. He has extensive experience as a Legal Practitioner Director at Savannah Legal Barristers & Solicitors, where he has successfully handled a variety of cases. Prior to this, his role as a solicitor and registered migration agent further honed his skills in providing clients with insightful legal advice and representation. His earlier career as a Child Safety Officer and Lead Caseworker involved delivering comprehensive case management services, liaising with various departments, and ensuring the accurate recording of data in compliance with the Child Protection Act 1999 (Qld). This experience has been instrumental in shaping his empathetic and strategic approach to family law. Richard's diverse background, marked by practical legal training at Bond University, underpins his comprehensive understanding of both legal and social welfare systems. His dedication to supporting clients through challenging legal processes is evident in his careful handling of each case, ensuring that clients receive not only expert legal advice but also the sensitivity and support they require during difficult times.
