Nicola has been an integral part of Sayer Jones since May 2018, beginning her tenure as a paralegal before her admission to practice in April 2019. Admitted to both the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia, she has since devoted her legal career to Family Law. Nicola's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Laws with honours and a Bachelor of Creative Industries, majoring in entertainment with distinction from the Queensland University of Technology. Transitioning to Melbourne in 2018, she enhanced her legal acumen through a clerkship with a prominent inner-city firm, where she sharpened her skills in litigation and dispute resolution. Her legal journey also includes an invaluable stint in property law, working at a Brisbane-based firm focused on property and commercial law matters. Throughout her career, Nicola has been actively involved in managing high-conflict parenting and property cases. She brings profound insight into issues such as parental alienation and international relocation, capitalising on her multidisciplinary background to adeptly handle complex property cases intertwined with commercial considerations. Nicola's professional associations reflect her commitment to the legal community. She is a member of the Young Lawyers Section of the Law Institute of Victoria, the Law Institute of Victoria, Victorian Women Lawyers, and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia. Her dedication to the field is further underscored by her volunteer work at the Dispute Resolution Centre in Brisbane and her international experience within the Creative Industries.
