Daniel Moon

Daniel Moon was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia in 2013. He practises exclusively in criminal law and has developed broad experience across summary and indictable matters, appearing regularly in courts throughout Victoria. Daniel has a particular interest in defending corporate prosecutions, involving regulatory bodies as well as contested IVOs. His experience includes advocacy and carefully crafted negotiations with prosecution agencies, and the careful analysis of evidentiary and procedural issues that can critically affect the outcome of proceedings. Before entering private practice, Daniel worked within community legal centres, where he developed a strong commitment to accessible legal representation for vulnerable and disadvantaged clients. He remains deeply committed to ensuring every client receives clear advice, practical guidance, and determined representation regardless of background or circumstance. Daniel also holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Science, which informs his thoughtful and strategic approach to client communication, negotiation, and litigation. He is also a proud member of the Law Institute of Victoria.
