Maddy Olivero, a solicitor with over eight years of experience in criminal law, was admitted as a legal practitioner in June 2017. Raised in rural North Queensland, Maddy possesses a profound understanding of the unique challenges regional communities face and is dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality legal representation. She commenced her career with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, gaining invaluable experience while working closely with senior prosecutors and appearing in the Children’s, District, and Supreme Courts across Townsville, Bundaberg, Maroochydore, and Brisbane. Her time as a Crown Prosecutor provided her with an in-depth understanding of the criminal justice system. In 2024, Maddy made the transition to criminal defence, driven by a fervent desire to advocate for individuals and ensure their voices are heard. Her areas of expertise include crime, domestic violence matters, traffic offences, and appellate work, where she is known for her calm, persuasive courtroom advocacy and strategic judgment.
