Kristy Hams

Kristy Hams is a highly experienced solicitor with a deep commitment to family law, having practised predominantly in this area since 1999. She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Tasmania and a Bachelor of Legal Studies (Criminology) with Honours from LaTrobe University, showcasing a strong academic foundation. Kristy is admitted to practice since 1998 and has gathered vast experience working in rural, suburban, and city firms across Australia. Her expertise spans complex family law matters, including financial agreements, child support, and cases involving de facto and same-sex relationships. Kristy is also adept at handling intricate parenting issues, domestic and international relocations, and international child abduction cases under the Hague Convention. Her accreditation as an Independent Children’s Lawyer in 2008 further solidifies her standing in the field, with regular court appointments in challenging child-related cases. Kristy's hands-on approach as a solicitor advocate in the Family Court, Federal Circuit Court, Children’s, and Magistrates Courts ensures that she offers practical and cost-effective legal solutions aimed at achieving sensible outcomes for her clients.
