Leona Bennett

Leona Bennett leads the Family Law team at Southern Waters Legal, bringing extensive experience and commitment to her role. She graduated with honours in both Psychology and Law from the University of Wollongong, where she also taught Family Law in 2010 and 2011. With a legal practice dating back to 2001 within the Sutherland Shire, Leona is deeply familiar with the challenges her clients face during separation. Leona approaches family law with empathy and professionalism, understanding the emotional and financial complexities involved. She is dedicated to tailoring her advice and support to the unique needs of each client, emphasising resolution through negotiation and mediation wherever possible before pursuing litigation. Her clients benefit from a personalised approach, ensuring they are treated with respect and care throughout the legal process. Beyond her legal career, Leona enjoys spending time with her family and has a strong sporting background, having represented Australia in Oztag.
