Dr Bradford Starkie is the Principal and Managing Director at Starkie Law Group, an incorporated legal practice based in Malvern East, Victoria. With a robust focus on personal law areas, including family law and wills and probate, Dr Starkie is dedicated to providing tailored legal solutions to help clients organise their lives. His commitment to enhancing access to justice is evident through the firm's innovative use of information technology and service unbundling. Admitted to practise in both the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Victoria, Dr Starkie has contributed significantly to family law, making submissions to Senate Inquiries and Royal Commissions. As a recognised academic achiever, he was awarded the Mills Oakley Lawyers Prize for Advanced Evidence and Proof in Litigation during his studies at Monash University. Before founding Starkie Law Group in 2019, Dr Starkie served as a Solicitor Advocate at L G Yves Michel & Co and accumulated valuable experience in the technology sector, holding positions such as Chief Scientist and Chief Technology Officer. His extensive career also includes leadership roles at Gazunti Pty Ltd and Telstra Research Laboratories. Dr Starkie holds a Juris Doctor from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The College of Law Australia. His academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree (Honours) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Curtin University, followed by a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Newcastle. His diverse expertise integrates legal acumen with a strong technological background, underscoring his comprehensive approach to client service and legal practice.
