Ashley Stevens serves as the Director and is a NSW Law Society Accredited Specialist in Family Law. Since her admission as a lawyer in 2007, she has dedicated her career to family law in Newcastle. A graduate of the University of Newcastle, Ashley holds a dual degree in Law and Forensic Science. Her extensive experience has seen her consistently assist clients in navigating the complexities of family law, striving to make the process as stress-free as possible. Ashley combines empathy and sensitivity with professionalism and confidence, achieving excellent outcomes in both property settlement and parenting matters. Her capabilities as an advocate have driven outstanding results at interim hearings and when working alongside Counsel in final hearings. Additionally, Ashley excels in negotiation, whether through mediation or settlement offers, aiming for the most efficient and cost-effective resolutions for her clients. She is adept at managing complex issues, including family violence, financial control, and intricate asset structures involving companies and trusts. Ashley is on the NSW Legal Aid panel, representing parents and clients under the Family Violence Cross Examination Scheme. She is honoured to contribute to the community as an Independent Children's Lawyer. Ashley maintains an active role within the legal community as a long-term committee member and current secretary of the Hunter Valley Family Law Practitioners Association. Her professional affiliations include the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, the Newcastle Law Society, and the NSW Law Society. Ashley is on the Supreme Court and High Court roll of practitioners, entitled to practice across all Federal Courts.
