Sean McNally

Sean McNally serves as the Principal of Storm Bay Law, bringing decades of extensive legal experience to the firm. Since the early 1980s, Sean has successfully represented thousands of clients in courts across Australia and internationally. His comprehensive expertise spans various areas, including family law, criminal defence, personal injury, workers' compensation, and industrial relations. He has prepared and appeared in numerous cases in both lower and higher courts and has collaborated with many of Australia's esteemed Senior Counsel, some of whom have ascended to the judiciary. Notably, Sean achieved success in the criminal jurisdiction of the High Court of Australia in Canberra. Sean's professional capabilities are diverse and include factual investigation, drafting of letters and court documents, and handling complex litigation. He is skilled in negotiation and dispute resolution, appearing in court to advocate for clients in family, criminal, civil, and industrial relations matters. Sean is adept at assembling compelling briefs of evidence for presentation to Senior Counsel in serious and intricate cases. His career path reflects a commitment to client success and includes leadership positions at various legal practices. Before establishing Storm Bay Law, Sean was the Principal of Moreton Bay Law for over 15 years, where he honed his advocacy and litigation prowess. His earlier roles included serving as a Senior Consultant at Gilshenan & Luton Lawyers, focusing on personal injuries and military compensation. Sean also carried out significant court appearances as a sole practitioner in New South Wales and began his legal journey as a solicitor at W. G. McNally & Co. Sean holds a Diploma in Law from the University of Sydney, completed in 1994, underpinning his long-standing legal practice.
