Susan Moriarty

Susan Moriarty is the Founder and Principal of Susan Moriarty & Associates, where she is renowned for delivering efficient and insightful legal advice. With over two decades of experience, Susan excels in employment, human rights, anti-discrimination, and industrial law. Her commitment to achieving optimal outcomes for her clients is unwavering. Susan's career began in 1991 when she was appointed Chief Political Advisor to Queensland's Attorney-General, Dean Wells. During this tenure, she played a pivotal role in championing Queensland's inaugural civil rights legislation, including Freedom of Information and Anti-Discrimination laws. By 1993, Susan was serving as a policy analyst in the Freedom of Information and Administrative Law Division. Her career trajectory led her to the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Commission in 1996 as Principal Legal Advisor and later to the role of Executive Manager, Human Rights and Administrative Law in 1998. In this capacity, she managed the Criminal Injury Compensation Scheme and advised on initiatives like the Appeal Costs Fund. In 1999, Susan established her law firm, focusing on protecting public sector employees from workplace bullying and advocating for employee rights under discrimination laws.
