

Michael Brennan is a highly accomplished Director with a robust career in the legal and insolvency sectors. Admitted as a Solicitor in 1999, Michael initially specialised in commercial law before transitioning to become an insolvency practitioner. Over the past two decades, he has gained extensive experience in assisting clients through challenging business circumstances, focusing recently on restructuring and informal negotiations post-COVID. Michael retains a Practising Certificate as a Lawyer and is also a registered Liquidator and Bankruptcy Trustee. His dedication to the profession extends beyond client work; he has contributed significantly to the not-for-profit sector, particularly in supporting small businesses. His commitment to the legal and insolvency fields is reflected in his extensive involvement in various professional organisations. He has served over five years with the Queensland Law Society Council, including a tenure as Deputy President. Additionally, he held roles with the Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association, including as Deputy Chair of the QLD State Committee and a National Board Member. With a strong foundation in business development and strategy, Michael has shaped and led numerous initiatives. As the former Principal of Offermans and Senior Manager at other esteemed firms, his leadership has been instrumental in advancing the practices. He has also held significant board roles, such as Chair of the Townsville Business Development Centre, demonstrating his dedication to fostering growth and innovation in the business community. Michael holds a Masters in Professional Accounting from James Cook University and a Graduate Certificate in Insolvency Practice from the University of Southern Queensland, complementing his Bachelor of Laws degree. His blend of legal expertise and strategic insight positions him as a prominent figure in the legal and business arenas in Townsville and beyond.
