Robert Rooney is a Director with a longstanding connection to Central Western Queensland’s Blackall-Barcaldine region. Raised in a family business centred around mustering, droving, fencing, and yard construction, Robert developed a strong work ethic and an intrinsic understanding of rural life from an early age. After completing his secondary education at The Cathedral College in Rockhampton, he pursued a Bachelor of Laws at Bond University, focusing on energy and environment law, commercial law, and dispute resolution. Remarkably, Robert graduated at 19 years of age.
Following his graduation, Robert initially contributed to the family business before embarking on his legal career with Swanwick Murray Roche in 2013. Demonstrating commitment and expertise, he became a partner at the firm in 2017.
Robert’s professional practice encompasses several key areas. In business and corporate law, he advises clients on structuring their enterprises, asset protection strategies, and effective risk management to safeguard their interests.
