About Imogen
Imogen Clark brings a breadth of experience to her legal practice, having commenced her career as a Law Clerk to a prominent Perth Senior Counsel while completing her law and criminology degrees. Graduating with Distinction in 2020, Imogen consistently demonstrated academic excellence, receiving the Herbert Smith Freehills prize for best academic achievement in Contract Law in 2018. Following her graduation, Imogen served as an Associate to a Justice of the Supreme Court of Western Australia, gaining valuable insight into both criminal and civil law. During this time, she contributed to significant cases including the multi-accused trial concerning Australia’s largest attempted drug importation, as well as murder trials, sentencings, and appeals heard by a single judge. Imogen then practised criminal law at the Aboriginal Legal Service of Western Australia (ALSWA), working in both metropolitan and remote regional areas such as the East Kimberley. This experience provided her with a profound understanding of the challenges faced by Indigenous communities within the criminal justice system, and helped her develop strong advocacy skills, resilience, and a commitment to client-centred representation. Currently, Imogen appears regularly in the Children’s Court, Magistrates Court, and District Court of Western Australia. She is experienced in bail applications, sentencings, trial preparation, and negotiations with opposing parties. Known for her empathy, creative problem-solving, and steadfast dedication to achieving justice, Imogen strives to provide effective and compassionate support to all clients.
