Soren Bakic

Soren Bakic brings over 20 years of legal experience to his role as Director and Principal Lawyer at The Firm Law Group. Throughout his career, he has supported clients in a diverse range of matters, including conveyancing, commercial disputes, family law and complex multi-party litigation. Recognising the unique nature of each client's situation, Soren focuses on providing tailored and cost-effective solutions that address their specific needs. Soren's legal journey began at an inner-city general practice, where he developed a broad skill set across property law, family law, commercial disputes and personal injury litigation. He then gained valuable experience working in-house for a major insurance company before moving on to defendant insurance litigation firms. In 2011, Soren transitioned to a large plaintiff litigation practice, taking on roles as both legal practice manager and special counsel. During this time, he worked closely with co-partners Christopher Sutton and James Chrara, building mutual respect for their dedication, problem-solving abilities and commitment to achieving the best outcomes for clients. In 2020, Soren, Chris and James founded The Firm Law Group to combine their individual strengths and provide legal representation that meaningfully addresses each client’s legal concerns with the highest level of professionalism. Known for his strong negotiation skills and commercial insight, Soren consistently seeks strategic, cost-effective resolutions for his clients. He is admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia and is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales.
