Ebony Bell is a Special Counsel practising exclusively in medical negligence and health law. Since her admission in 2019, she has developed extensive experience acting for plaintiffs in complex medical negligence claims involving obstetric negligence, birth injury, delayed diagnosis, psychiatric injury, brain and spinal injuries, sepsis, and claims arising from the death of a loved one following negligent medical treatment.
Ebony has a strong focus on women’s health matters, particularly those involving pregnancy, birth trauma and obstetric negligence. Prior to joining the firm, she worked at a national personal injury law firm in Sydney where she gained experience working on one of Australia’s largest women’s health class actions.
Ebony holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Business from the University of Newcastle. She is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales and the Australian Lawyers Alliance.
Ebony is known for her calm, thoughtful and empathetic approach with clients. She is committed to guiding clients through what is often an incredibly difficult period in their lives, ensuring they feel heard, supported and informed throughout the legal process while working to achieve meaningful outcomes for them and their families.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly at the beach and exploring local hikes. She also enjoys reading, Pilates and spending quality time with her young family.
