Fiona Terrell

Fiona Terrell has been a dedicated solicitor since her admission in September 2011, having joined the firm earlier that year. Her initial career in the property industry for local and state governments provided her with a wealth of experience in residential and commercial leasing, valuation, and property portfolio management. Holding a Bachelor of Laws and a Degree in Land Economics, Fiona is the principal solicitor at the Hervey Bay office where she practices in family law, conveyancing, estate planning, and criminal law. In family law, Fiona specialises in property settlements, parenting matters, domestic violence applications, and child protection. Her goal is to secure lasting and satisfying outcomes for her clients. She is well-versed in estate planning, offering services that include drafting wills, managing Enduring Powers of Attorney, and addressing claims of inadequate provision in deceased estates. Fiona's expertise in property extends to commercial and retail leases, business and domestic sales, and self-managed superannuation fund acquisitions, leveraging her prior experience to deliver practical advice. In criminal law and traffic matters, she strives for optimal outcomes, whether through submissions for minimised penalties or ensuring favourable decisions for work licence applications. Her court experience includes trials in the Magistrates Court and instructing Counsel in higher courts. Active in her community, Fiona has lived in Hervey Bay since 2003 with her husband and two children. She participates actively in local initiatives, including her children's school P&C committee and Pialba Cub Scouts.
