Colin Twigg

Colin Twigg is the principal lawyer at Twigg Family Law and has been practising as a lawyer since 1983. Since 1990, he has focused exclusively on family law, developing extensive experience over more than three decades. Colin’s practice covers a broad range of family law matters, including property and financial settlements for married, de facto and same-sex couples, with particular expertise in cases involving business interests or the division of superannuation entitlements. He also handles disputes relating to custody and contact, divorce, child support, spousal maintenance and intervention orders. Colin is committed to ensuring that clients fully understand the legal framework, the court process, and their options from the outset of their family law matter. He believes that combining this knowledge with empathy helps clients navigate what is often a difficult and emotional time with greater clarity and confidence. Having grown up in Sunshine, Colin has a strong connection to Melbourne’s western suburbs and has practised predominantly in this region. He has been actively involved in the local community through roles with the Chamber of Commerce, Wyndham Community Foundation, Wyndham Rotary Club, and as a former board member and secretary of the Committee for Wyndham. Currently, he serves as Vice President of Wyndham Biznet. Outside of his legal work, Colin has a passion for Australian Rules football, supporting the Essendon Football Club, as well as maintaining strong ties to the Bulldogs and Werribee Football Club. He also has an interest in horse racing.
