Joelon Fincher is the founder and Managing Partner of Univa Legal, a Sydney-based boutique law firm focused on complex taxation disputes, banking and finance litigation, corporate structuring, and strategic commercial advisory.
Admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia, Joelon holds a Master of Laws (International Law) from the Australian National University and degrees in Law and International Studies from Flinders University.

Alongside his taxation practice, Joelon has extensive experience in banking and finance litigation, acting in substantial disputes involving lenders, borrowers, security enforcement, guarantees, loan facilities, insolvency-related claims, and complex commercial recovery matters. Throughout his career, he has advised in litigation involving claims valued in the millions of dollars and has worked on matters affecting major financial institutions, commercial borrowers, and corporate groups across Australia.
Joelon also regularly advises international investors and multinational enterprises on foreign investment, FIRB compliance, cross-border transactions, corporate acquisitions, and Australian regulatory requirements. His international law background enables him to provide commercially focused advice where domestic legal issues intersect with international investment and cross-border business operations.
