Cec O'dea

Cec O'Dea serves as Special Counsel, bringing over 25 years of legal expertise to the Sunshine Coast. Admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1996, Cec joined our team in 2019 after a distinguished tenure as a Partner at Schultz Toomey O’Brien Lawyers. His extensive practice covers estate litigation, family provision applications, wills and estate disputes, and contested probate matters. He is also proficient in probate, estate and trust administration, alongside succession planning involving complex testamentary trust structures, enduring powers of attorney, and advance health directives. In recognition of his dedication to the community, Cec was awarded Life Membership of the Suncoast Community Legal Service in 2017, following over a decade of voluntary service. Beyond his legal career, Cec is an avid sportsman, enjoying touch football, surfing, and competitive ocean swimming.
