Cec O’Dea

Cec has been a respected member of the legal community on the Sunshine Coast for over 25 years. Admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1996, he joined our firm in 2019 after a long tenure as a Partner at Schultz Toomey O’Brien Lawyers. With extensive experience across a broad range of legal matters, Cec focuses on estate litigation, family provision applications, wills and estate disputes, contested probate issues, as well as probate, estate and trust administration. He also advises on succession planning, including complex testamentary trust arrangements, enduring powers of attorney, and advance health directives. Throughout his career, Cec has assisted numerous private clients and contributed significantly to the community. His voluntary service was recognised in 2017 when he was awarded Life Membership of the Suncoast Community Legal Service in recognition of more than ten years of dedicated pro bono work. Outside of his legal practice, Cec is passionate about sport, enjoying touch football, surfing, and competitive ocean swimming.
