Darren Kerr

With more than 30 years of experience in legal practice, Darren brings a wealth of knowledge and practical expertise to his work. He spent 18 years as a partner at Lobb and Kerr Lawyers in Melbourne before relocating to the Sunshine Coast, where he continues to serve his clients with dedication. Darren was accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria in 2008 in Wills and Estates, reflecting his deep understanding of this area. He provides advice across all facets of estate planning, administration and litigation. His comprehensive approach enables him to assist clients in developing tailored estate plans and managing the complexities that can arise in estate administration. His practice encompasses complex matters involving wills, succession, trusts and superannuation, as well as contested wills and all types of estate-related disputes. In addition, he advises on enduring powers of attorney, administration and guardianship under QCAT, litigation, property and commercial law, including bank guarantees and mortgages. Darren is recognised by his peers as a leading figure in wills and estates law and holds membership with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the Law Institute of Victoria, Queensland Law Society and the Sunshine Coast Law Association. Beyond his professional commitments, Darren is actively engaged in the community. He holds life membership of the Portsea Surf Life Saving Club, serves on the Board of Management at Maroochydore SLSC and is an active patrolling member. Outside of work and volunteering, he enjoys maintaining his fitness and spending time in the water.
