Jesse Rankine

Jesse Rankine serves as a Director at our firm, bringing a depth of experience in wills and estates, commercial law, and property law. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Law double degree from Deakin University and became a director on 1 January 2018, following his initial period with the firm from 2011 to 2017. Jesse is accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria as a Wills and Estates practitioner and is recognised as a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) by the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP). His expertise encompasses estate planning, probate, and estate administration. Jesse is well-versed in handling complex estate litigation, including Testator Family Maintenance claims, will caveat disputes, and will construction disputes, representing both plaintiffs and defendants and instructing counsel in Supreme Court and County Court matters. In addition to his estates work, Jesse advises clients on commercial matters such as corporate structures, leases, trusts—including discretionary, charitable, and Special Disability Trusts—loan agreements, business sales and purchases, caveats, and subdivisions. Committed to ongoing professional development, Jesse is a Fellow of the CEO Institute and an active member of both the Geelong Law Association and the Law Institute of Victoria. Outside the office, he enjoys outdoor activities, Pilates and yoga, alongside a passion for music and art.
