Tom Yeoman

Tom Yeoman is the principal of Yeoman Legal, bringing over a decade of experience in commercial litigation, with a dedicated focus on strata law since 2015. His legal journey has encompassed diverse local and international settings, refining his expertise and enhancing his strategic approach to complex legal challenges. Tom has amassed considerable experience representing clients in pivotal strata matters, regularly appearing before the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, Appeal Panel, and in mediations. His practice covers a spectrum of strata disputes, including interim applications, damages claims, and compulsory appointments. Tom has also navigated cases involving unreasonable refusal of by-laws, breaches of by-law, as well as civil penalties. Beyond the Tribunal, Tom is adept at handling defect litigation matters in the Supreme Court and Local Court. Tom's international experience includes practising in Singapore at a prominent local full-service firm and a leading US firm within its top-tier international arbitration team. Here, his portfolio spanned international arbitration, medical negligence, insurance litigation, shareholder disputes, anti-money laundering, and probate disputes. Notably, Tom played a key role in Singapore's longest-running medical negligence trial, a case that marked the first instance of expert 'hot tubbing' in the jurisdiction. In addition to his practical experience, Tom has been an academic contributor, adding a chapter to the Singapore Law Society's legal toolkit, offering insights on social enterprise and start-up funding. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts from the University of New South Wales and maintains his professional affiliation as a member of the Law Society of New South Wales.
