Katherine Guilfoyle

Katherine Guilfoyle is a dedicated solicitor with nearly a decade of experience, known for her empathetic and solution-focused approach to legal practice. Raised in Newcastle, New South Wales, Katherine initially pursued a Bachelor of Biomedical Science before realising her passion for law, completing her law degree in 2015. She is admitted to practise in both the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia. Katherine's practice areas include family law and will disputes, where her aim is to guide clients towards fair and cost-effective outcomes during challenging times. Currently, Katherine serves as Principal Solicitor at Aeris Legal, where she has been making a significant impact since 2025, focusing on family law and will dispute matters. In addition to her legal practice, she is a nationally accredited mediator at Next Step Mediation, where she has facilitated conflict resolution and helped keep matters out of court since 2024. Before her current roles, Katherine was a Senior Associate Lawyer at Next Legal & Conveyancing, where for over five years, she honed her skills in family law and will disputes. Her career also includes significant tenure at Newcastle Legal & Conveyancing, where she dealt with a diverse range of legal issues including family, criminal, and employment law, alongside will disputes. Katherine began her legal journey as a Graduate Solicitor at GSC & Associates in Sydney, where she developed foundational skills in civil litigation. Her background in administration within the medical field provides her with a unique perspective in understanding client needs. In her free time, Katherine enjoys cooking, spending quality time with family, and reading legal cases to stay informed and inspired in her practice.
