Craig has extensive experience in criminal law, having appeared in the Magistrates Court, District Court and Supreme Court of Western Australia. His experience covers a broad range of criminal matters, from assault and other offences through to serious and complex prosecutions, including homicide matters. He has advised and represented clients at all stages of criminal proceedings, including sentencing matters, contested hearings and trials. Craig has appeared as counsel before Magistrates and Judges and in jury trials, and has experience dealing with both straightforward and highly complex criminal cases. Craig’s legal experience is supported by extensive academic and professional training. He holds multiple legal qualifications, together with a Master of Business Administration, providing him with a strong understanding of the commercial and practical issues that can sometimes arise alongside criminal proceedings. Craig is also a trained psychotherapist. This additional training assists him in understanding the personal, psychological and emotional issues that can affect people involved in the criminal justice system, particularly where matters involve high levels of stress, conflict, trauma or difficult personal circumstances. His approach is focused on providing clear, practical advice and strong representation, while ensuring that clients understand the court process, the issues in their case and the options available to them.
