Known for his collaborative approach, Frederik works closely with accountants, financial planners, and other tax experts to deliver tailored solutions. His expertise encompasses advising on tax-effective business structures, acquisitions, and disposals, as well as complex financial arrangements including restructures, mergers, demergers, buy-backs, and share cancellations. Frederik is also proficient in structured finance packaging and superannuation fund advice. He frequently represents clients in taxation disputes, utilising negotiation, well-crafted documentation for submissions, objections, and appeals, along with litigation and mediation. His proactive engagements with the ATO have often led to quick and economical resolutions, avoiding protracted court battles. Holding a Master of Taxation, Frederik is a Chartered Tax Adviser with a distinguished career. He previously held director roles at both Cooper Webb Lawyers and Fort Knox Legal, specializing in asset protection, succession planning, business structures, and self-managed superannuation funds, particularly for high net-worth clients. He has a solid background in tax planning concerning mergers and acquisitions, international investments, and capital raising, having successfully managed ATO objections and private ruling applications. His earlier positions at Munro Doig, Rockwell Olivier, Deloitte Australia, and KPMG further establish his expertise in handling both domestic and international tax matters. Frederik's academic credentials are complemented by a Postgraduate Diploma in Taxation, a Master’s degree in Tax Law, and additional qualifications in Immigration Law, positioning him as a leader in his field.
