With over two decades of experience as a solicitor, I have developed a broad and thorough understanding of the law, shaped by extensive practice in both Legal Aid and private sectors. My legal career began with nearly 17 years at Legal Aid, where I handled a wide range of matters across criminal, civil, family law, and care and protection. I have gained experience practising in diverse locations including Sydney and regional centres such as Lismore, Byron Bay, and the Tweed region. Two years ago, I founded my private practice in Moruya, focussed on delivering accessible, client-centred legal services. In family law, I assist clients with issues such as parenting arrangements, divorce, and property settlements. Additionally, I act as an Independent Children’s Lawyer, advocating for the best interests of children in complex family law proceedings. My work in the Children’s Court includes representing children, parents, and foster carers in care and protection cases, areas that require careful advocacy and sensitivity. I also provide advice and representation in a variety of civil law matters, including guardianship, proceedings before the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, administrative law, contract disputes, debt recovery, insurance claims, consumer law, discrimination, Centrelink issues, as well as estate planning and administration encompassing wills, probate, powers of attorney, and enduring guardianship. I have appeared across multiple jurisdictions including the Federal Circuit Court, Family Court, Supreme Court, Local Court, NCAT, and District Court.
