Lurline Dillon-Smith

With over 20 years of experience as a solicitor, I have built a diverse legal career that spans criminal law, civil law, family law, and care and protection matters. My early career included approximately 17 years at Legal Aid, where I developed a comprehensive understanding of assisting clients from varied backgrounds. I have worked in Sydney and the Northern Rivers region, including Lismore, Byron Bay, and the Tweed area, before establishing my own practice in Moruya two years ago. I am currently accepting matters in Family Law, including parenting disputes, divorce, and property settlement issues. In addition, I serve as an Independent Children’s Lawyer, representing the best interests of children in family law proceedings. My work in the Children’s Court involves representing children, parents, and foster carers in care and protection cases. Beyond family law, I handle a wide range of civil law matters. These include guardianship and estate issues, NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal proceedings, administrative law, contract disputes, debt recovery, insurance claims, consumer law, discrimination, Centrelink matters, wills and probate, powers of attorney, enduring guardianship, and equity-related work. I have experience appearing in a variety of courts and tribunals, including the Federal Circuit Court, Family Court, Supreme Court, Local Court, District Court, and the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT). I remain committed to providing accessible legal services and am happy to assist clients who qualify for legal aid.
