Mark Peters, a Principal at Peters Bosel Lawyers, brings a wealth of experience to the realm of employment law and workplace relations with over 30 years in the field. He excels in advising senior management and Boards, and represents corporations and government bodies on intricate employment law and industrial relations matters. Mark's strong foundation in corporate governance enables him to offer strategic solutions for complex issues, fostering positive and sustainable outcomes for both employers and their workforce. Holding a law degree from Sydney University, a degree in behavioural sciences, and a Master’s in Industrial Relations from Oxford University, Mark offers a unique blend of legal acumen and a deep understanding of corporate governance and human resources. His career spans from Sydney to London, and eventually to Cairns in 1991, where he was instrumental in establishing statewide employment law and workplace relations practices at MacDonnells Law. As a partner, he led a team of eight professionals. His passion for the Far North Queensland region stems from a visit in 1989, which led to his permanent move. Mark's commitment to the community includes numerous board and committee roles, as well as his involvement with CQ University Council since 2014. His dedication to regional development includes voluntary and pro bono work for not-for-profit and charitable organisations. Appointed as a Queensland Law Society Senior Councillor, Mark's understanding of local employment issues was pivotal in founding Peters Bosel Lawyers in 2010. Driven by a desire to create environments where both employers and employees thrive, Mark focuses on advising and representing businesses to establish fair practices.
