Andrea Lawson is the Director and Principal Solicitor at Williams Lawson & Zuur, having joined the firm in 2012 as a mature aged graduate. Andrea's expertise encompasses estate administration, estate planning, property law, commercial/retail leasing, sale of business, and conveyancing. She enjoys drafting and witnessing wills, advising on power of attorney & guardianship documents, and working with families though both simple and complex estate matters (probate, letters of administration, reseal and general estates). With over a decade of committed service at Williams Woolf & Zuur, she has played an instrumental role in guiding clients through the intricacies of real estate, commercial transactions and small business advice. Andrea's legal acumen is underpinned by her Juris Doctor from the University of Technology Sydney. She also holds a Diploma in Business, specialising in Human Resources, which complements her Bachelor of Education from McGill University (Montreal). Before transitioning into law, Andrea honed her managerial skills in the securities industry, having held leadership roles at Computershare. Her background also includes vital stints in recruitment (UK, Canada, Australia), human resources, education consultancy and teaching (UK), experiences that enrich her client relations approach.
