Eric Zhang

Eric Zhang is a Solicitor Advocate with an impressive trajectory in law, marked by his commitment to social justice and human rights. He obtained a combined degree in Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance, from Macquarie University in 2020. Demonstrating a keen dedication to applying his values professionally, Eric began his career in the social justice sector shortly after his admission to practice. He embarked on his journey at the National Justice Project, contributing to significant personal injury matters relevant to the Commonwealth’s duty of care to detained children in offshore centres and advancing LGBTQI rights during the COVID-19 pandemic. Eric's practice predominantly focuses on public and administrative law, as well as international human rights law. At Human Rights For All, Eric played a pivotal role in advancing the rights of people in Australian immigration detention centres. He was involved in strategic litigation projects such as assisting Afghan citizens during the tumultuous period following Kabul's fall and advocating for the cessation of the Park Hotel's use as a detention site.
